Mar’26 Newsletter - Organizing

Spring has officially arrived, and with it comes that familiar urge to reset, refresh, and reclaim our spaces.
But here is something I want to gently offer: organizing is not about buying containers or achieving a picture-perfect home. It is about making decisions. It is about creating a space that reflects who you are today, not who you used to be or who you think you should be.
I recently came across an article that said something I deeply believe in my work:
“Decisions, not storage bins, create organisation.”
That is the heart of what we do at Clutter Cutter.
And the good news is, this is something you can absolutely build, step by step.
DID YOU KNOW?
Most organizing struggles are not about space. They are about habits and decision fatigue.
Buying bins before decluttering often creates more clutter
If everything is “special,” nothing truly is
“Just in case” is one of the biggest sources of excess
Clutter is delayed decision-making, not laziness
Done is better than perfect
QUICK TIPS -
Pick one:
One drawer, not a whole room
Remove 5 items that no longer serve you
Move items to where you actually use them
Small actions create momentum.
MUST HAVES
Instead of a product, try this filter:
Do I use this?
Do I love this?
Does this support the life I am living now?
WHAT’S HOT
Less perfection. More alignment.
Clients are asking for:
calmer, lighter homes
simple systems that are easy to maintain
less visual noise
more clarity

GOOD READ
If you read one thing this week on organizing, make it this: 🔗16 common home organizing mistakes - The Washington Post.
A few powerful reminders:
You do not have a storage problem. You have a stuff problem
Organizing products are not the starting point
Your home should serve who you are now
Perfection is not the goal. Sustainability is
It is honest, practical, and very aligned with how we work.
CLOSING THOUGHT
Your home is not a storage unit.
It is where your life happens.
Let’s make space for that.
