Back to school has already slipped by me. My daughter began her senior year of high school, and suddenly I find myself wondering: where did the month go? September always feels like the real new year, yet here I am still trying to settle into a rhythm. Between helping everyone fall into routines and the looming deadlines of college applications, it’s easy to feel like I need to do it all — right now.
This month, I’ve been reflecting on the power of letting go. When I catch myself holding my breath and juggling too many things at once, I try to pause, take a deep breath, and remind myself: it’s not about doing everything perfectly. It’s about breaking things down, prioritizing what matters most, and giving myself permission to release the rest.

DID YOU KNOW?
Just like trees shed their leaves, fall gives us permission to release what’s no longer serving us. In fact, studies show we’re more motivated to adopt new habits during seasonal transitions. It’s the perfect moment to rethink routines, pare down commitments, and create space for what matters.

QUICK TIPS - 3 Ways to Lighten Your September Load:
Name Your Top 3: Each morning, jot down the three things that must get done. Everything else is optional.
One Drawer Rule: When overwhelm creeps in, pick one drawer, one bag, or one digital folder to clear. Small wins build momentum.
Bookend Rituals: Start and end your day with 5 minutes of stillness — no screens, just a pause to reset.
MUST HAVES
🔗Reusable Weekly Planning Pad – Keeps priorities visible and manageable.
🔗Essential Oil Diffuser – Create calming signals for morning or evening routines (lavender at night, citrus in the morning).
🔗Google TasksBoard – A simple, free tool to keep to-dos organized across your phone and computer’s Google environment, so you can capture tasks as they pop up and let your mind rest.
WHAT’S HOT
Permission to Do Less
The cultural script often tells us to do more, add more, be more. But the trend I’m seeing with clients — and practicing myself — is the opposite: choosing less. Less multitasking, fewer commitments, lighter loads. Not only does this reduce stress, but it creates more space for creativity, presence, and joy.
SPOTLIGHT
This month, I’m thrilled to share The Brooklyn Teacup China Upcycling Service — a fresh, feel-good way to preserve family treasures. Instead of letting vintage china gather dust, their team transforms it into timeless trays, gifts, and decor.
It’s a beautiful way to declutter without guilt, honor family legacy, and share joy while promoting sustainability. The result? Cherished memories you can actually use and enjoy.
